The lines started forming early this morning, people pushing carts crammed with the essentials of Snack Food Sunday.
They bought tubs of pretzels, myriad kinds of chips, and popcorn in two-pound bags. They loaded up on meatballs, pizza, wings, chili fixings, pasta fixings, sushi platters, guac, salsa and queso dip. And, after 8 a.m., beer, lots of beer.
But the most decadent offering for the big game: strawberries dipped in dark chocolate and decorated to look like footballs. Buyers betray themselves as coastal-state fans, don’t you think? Chocolate-dipped strawberries just don’t strike me as a Kansas City finger food.
“Dad! Why are you taking us to @Wegmans on #SuperBowlSunday?!”

Heaven help @Wegmans if the @BuffaloBills ever make it to the #SuperBowl. It’s pandemonium right now.
