In the break room the other night, I praised a fellow worker for how assiduously he washed his hands.
Bad call on my part. My comment launched a bombardment of claims about nefarious activities across the globe.
My coworker told me that coronavirus was invented at a university in the Carolinas and sold during the Obama years to China, where it was weaponized and sent back to the U.S. in retaliation for the Trump trade tariffs. The reason we are unaware of this is that mainstream media is controlled by the CIA and the Council on Foreign Relations.
“How do you know this?” I asked. “It’s called research,” he answered. His “sources” on the web have been banned by Google, he said, because Google doesn’t want us to know the truth.
Sheesh.
Like we don’t have enough to worry about, with the threat to public health, we also have to combat the prolilferation of this junk.
The American public needs facts. Never more than now, during a roiling pandemic.
This administration, and so many web sites proudly proclaiming themselves as part of the “dark web,” have mocked truth.
It’s time for an accounting.
