Awhile back, I asked whether anyone had found a way to avoid touching payment screens at grocery stores and other retailers.
I’ve watched sanitizing procedures, at Wegmans and elsewhere, and these screens are often overlooked. Dozens, even hundreds, of fingers touch them each day as shoppers process credit cards and other digital payments.
I had experimented with popsicle sticks, without success, but hadn’t found a workable alternative.
A tweeter helpfully suggested the iPad stylus. Not being an iPad user, I ordered a stylus with replaceable nibs from Amazon.
Works like a charm, not only on pay screens, but on timeclocks, doorlock keypads and elevators.
Wiped clean after use, the stylus is a smart protective measure.
